Well I saw some on Rainier.

Bugs

Very minor. No bother on summit. Swatted a few about mid way up.

Weather

Perfect is all I can say.

Crowds One car in parking area when I arrived. One other came while I was getting ready. Saw one couple coming down on my way up. Another (who passed me) was at lookout. They left so I had lookout to myself for quite a while. People then started to trickle up. Only one at lookout when I was there. Saw maybe a dozen or so hiking up on my way down. Why this trail isn't packed I don't know. Easy highway access. No long dirt roads. Not really that far away.
Scenic Value
Difficulty This is a 100% trail summit walkup. No scrambling. I didn't even use hiking poles (in fact forgot them in the car). Trail is on the narrow side, which if there was more traffic would be a problem. A few spots of erosion so you need to watch where you step but no exposure really.
